The Lost Boy is about this kid named Dave and he had an awful childhood, and was strong enough to survive his mother's beating.He was very scared of his mother because she would beat him to death. She made him sleep in the garage and she didnt feed him food, unless there was any left overs.When he went to school he didnt have any friends and his teachers will ask whats going on at his house and why does he have bruises .He is so scared he has to lie because if his mother finds out that he snitched on her she will beat him more, so he has to say that he fell of his bead or that he fell douwn the stairs and when it was lunch time he would eat as much has he can.Right after school, he had to go straight home, and when he got to his house his mother will tell him that she wants to smell his breath ,so that she can find out if he ate at school and if she smelled food in his breath she will make him clean the toilet with his mouth every day when he comes from school. When its the weekends it sucked for him because he couldnt eat ,that was is only place to eat so he had to starve for 2 days.He was very afraid of his mother.One day his mother kicked him out of the house and told him not to come back because she doesn't care about him and that she made a really big mistake of having him so he left the house and he was planning to go live next to the beach, but he couldn't make it because it was to far away so he stopped at this resturant and went inside. Then this guy was very curios about why is he out so late so hen called the police to take him in because it was past curfu for him. So the police asked him some questions so he trusted the police man so he told him that his mother beat him so every time she would hit he would think that it was his fault but actually it wasn't. The police called his parents to pick him up .After a while the police men found out and they but Dave in a foster home and his mom had to go to court for a long time. If you read this book you will find out more about it. This is just a summary of the book. Dave Pelzer has written more book about his childhood. This book that im writing about is the second story he has written so if you read from the first book he wrote you would get the story more and know more about his life.
